What is the UK Advisory Network?

UKTI has worked with expert business service firms for many years but we are conscious that in a changing world and if the UK is to remain the Number 1 location for investment in Europe, we need to constantly raise our game and provide investors with a smooth transition between Government and Private Sector support. Consequently, we are seeking to establish for the UK a more comprehensive relationship with those firms actively engaged in this work. A new initiative, the UK Advisory Network, was launched in November 2007 and is designed to further enrich our existing contact with the private sector.

Our objective in establishing the new Network is to strengthen the partnership between Government and private sector for the support of new and existing investors and overall to promote the UK’s compelling marketing messages.

Members of the Network have the opportunity to feedback to UKTI on issues affecting inward investment, have regular networking opportunities with senior industry professionals and Ministers and provide content for inclusion on the UKTI website.

UKTI representatives use the Network to put incoming investors in touch with organisations that can provide them with specialist support. .

All network members are asked to sign up to a set of shared values and membership criteria to show their commitment to working together to promote the compelling messages of the UK to potential inward investors.
