During a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in July, the Queen will present Prof Gibb with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding efforts to inspire and support business start-ups.
He has been chosen for the award because of his innovation in educational and business development programmes geared towards new and existing entrepreneurs, educators and policy makers.
According to the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship, Prof Gibb has had a greater impact on the way enterprise training is delivered than any other person in the UK.
All the recipients have been invited to Buckingham Palace in the summer to receive their awards.
