Boeing has held an event to meet potential suppliers and its representatives met around 35 Scottish firms in Glasgow at the event, which was partly organised by the Society of British Aerospace Companies Scotland.
Daily Record reports that Boeing representatives had a 20-minute meeting with each firm to establish how they could work together, according to the Daily Record.

Brian Moran, a Director of Boeing UK, told delegates the plans show that the company has a long-term interest in working in Scotland and claimed the firm already sources up to £3 billion in goods and services from the UK.

In addition, Boeing has spend more than £600million in Scotland over the past eight years on contract work, the newspaper reveals.
A spokesman for the firm also told Scotland on Sunday: "This would be the first time that Boeing has operated in Scotland, so it is an exciting opportunity for Boeing and for the companies concerned.”
In other news, the Society of British Aerospace Companies announced it will hold its annual quality conference on November 13th, to examine ways to improve and grow the sector in the future.
