Epic, the East of England Production Innovation Centre, will take part in the £5.3 million E-Clic project alongside seven over media and broadband centres in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway, according to the Eastern Daily Press.

The facilities will examine ways broadband and the internet will develop in the future to bring entertainment, education and services, with the three-year project being supported by the European Union.

Mark Wells, Director of Epic, told the newspaper that previous projects have focussed on the development of new internet infrastructure, but E-Clic will look at ways to make the most of this.
He added: "It's a very interesting project involving so many countries. There may be options for exchanges of ideas and students.
Epic, which was founded with £1.2 million from the East of England Development Agency, claims to be one of the most advanced high-definition broadcast production facilities in Europe.
