Dormer Tools, which is building the research base at the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) on the Sheffield-Rotherham border, plans to add seven specialist engineers to its team, according to the Sheffield Telegraph.

The firm now has 12 engineers and technicians working alongside partner organisations including the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing and Research Centre and Boeing to develop innovative cutting tools.

The AMP aims to provide companies with a location to carry out innovative research and development work and with Boeing engineers based there working on a new landing gear for the firm's 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
