One of the focuses of the facility is to encourage firms to enter the information communication technology and creative sectors, moving the local economy away from traditional industries and towards more entrepreneurial enterprises.
Also, the centre will provide more than just business support, as it is part of the regeneration of a local brownfield area which has also seen new GP practice, pharmacy and Health Trust offices built.
Last month, Advantage West Midlands implemented an initiative to increase links between the region and India.
The India and West Midlands Business Action Plan will work to explore investment opportunities in the two economies.
