According to the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), the Employing People campaign will contact companies across the UK to inform them about Business Link's online tools, calculators and interactive guides.
The drive follows research which found firms are seeking expensive advice about employment law from external companies when they could be receiving it for free from other sources.

Pat McFadden, employment relations minister, commented: "Instead of spending money on buying in professional advice on employment law, people can access a range of quick and easy online documents.
"Complying with legislation can be complex at times but employment law is often easier than business owners think.”
The scheme has been applauded by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the British Retail Consortium (BRC), who are working with the government in the campaign.

Katja Hall, the CBI's director of employment policy, pointed out that small firms will benefit in particular from the new guidance, while Stephen Robertson, director general of the BRC, said it will work with the government to improve the advice offered.
Yesterday (August 12th), John Denham, the skills secretary, said he will reduce the amount of bureaucracy surrounding employing apprentices to encourage more firms to offer the schemes.
