Launched in October 2005 by the UK’s then Prime Minister Tony Blair, the UK Trade & Investment India Business Awards acknowledge and celebrate successful business partnerships between India and the UK.

Indian & UK companies are invited to submit nominations for the following categories:
Investor of the Year: For Indian or UK companies who have successfully set up in the UK/India.
Business Partnership: For successful Indian & UK business partnership in the UK or India.
Innovation through R&D: Indian or UK company which has successfully researched and developed a new product/service or process in the Indian market.
New Market Entrant: SME company demonstrating start-up success in the UK or India.
Business Person of the Year: Indian or UK businessperson who has contributed significantly to India-UK business relations.
Entrepreneur of the Year: An Indian entrepreneur successful in the UK.
Corporate Social Responsibility: Indian or UK business which has successfully conceptualized and implemented a unique CSR project while meeting commercial objectives.

The judging panel will also identify a company or individual for the UK Trade & Investment Special Recognition Award.
The closing date for nominations is 20 June 2008 and winners will be announced at a televised awards dinner and ceremony at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai on 9 September 2008.
