The alliance will bring together two of the sector's top research and development institutes to work on new technologies in the fields of composite materials, medical technology and hybrid vehicles.

UK’s strength in R&D
Established in 1980, WMG claims to be one of the UK's leading research and innovation centres, using specialists such as engineers, materials scientists and knowledge transfer experts to reinvigorate the UK's manufacturing sector.
WMG runs research centres in Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Its fourth facility at the University of Warwick campus will carry out digitally-based research projects and offer services to local businesses.
