Control4 to set up UK base

Utah-based Control4 has announced that it will establish a regional sales, distribution and support centre in York.

The firm has stated that the opening of the new UK base will further its progression into markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Among the benefits of the new location noted by Control4 are the ability to provide better support to their manufacturing partners and being able to develop stronger dealer and distributor relationships.

Will West, chief executive officer of the company, said: "Having a regional presence in [Europe, the Middle East and Africa] will allow us to work more closely with our dealers, distributors and manufacturers and enhance the integration efforts required to deliver the most affordable and easy-to-use smart home experience.
