Swedish engineering firm Dormer Tools will build a 20,000-square-foot base in Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP), reports the Sheffield Telegraph.
The cutting-edge facility will undertake research and development for the firm and is expected to contribute to the dozens of new products Dormer will unveil later this year.

John O'Donoghue, General Manager at Dormer Tools, told the newspaper: "Sheffield has a strong skills base in the tooling industry.
"We feel Dormer is now pushing back the boundaries in metal cutting, utilising local skills to ultimately increase product development.
Mr O'Donoghue also said that the AMP site has a "can-do attitude", which he hopes will help the firm achieve its growth targets.

In addition to the site at Sheffield's AMP, Dormer Tools also has an office in Nottinghamshire and operates in more than 40 countries.
The AMP aims to provide companies with a location to carry out innovative research and development work and is home to organisations such as Boeing and University of Sheffield partnership AMRC and Castings Technology International.
