Innovation in the UK
Find out about the organisations that make up the UK’s innovation infrastructure.
The Fresh Pod recently won the Best Design Innovation category at the Creative East Awards 2008. Its creators believe it will help reduce the 6.7 million tonnes of household food waste that the UK creates each year.
Using environmentally-friendly contents, the product also causes food to retain vitamins and reduces odours from aging fruit.
