California-based Objectivity has just announced the opening of a UK sales office.
The company provides high-performance database engines for sophisticated applications.
So how and why did they make the move?
The first factor: the right time
Expansion of security and intelligence markets was driving demand.
They had built up string of high profile clients like NEC, Siemens, and US Government agencies.
Momentum was building in the European government market, and sales for their flagship product Objectivity/DB had increased.
So the company felt it was time to take the plunge.
The second factor: the right place
The next step was choosing a location.
Objectivity was anxious to maintain the standard of service they offer their US customers.
Plus the new hub needed easy access to all of Europe to support emerging and developed business opportunities.
"With the opening of our U.K. office, Objectivity is in the right place at the right time to provide users with the advanced expertise and technology they need" explains president and CEO Jay Jarrell.
The deal breaker: the right people
Access to a large supply of highly skilled IT professionals and graduates was essential.
“We are continuing to build the industry’s most talented sales, marketing and technical support infrastructure worldwide,” says president and CEO Jay Jarrell.
The UK is Europe’s largest software and IT services market, offering Objectivity a large and high-quality talent pool.
And the number of big industry players doing business here means staff have both experience and know-how.
Hampshire wins
Their final decision was to put their UK base is in Hampshire, in the south east of England.
The new office will manage sales operations for the entire European region.
