The launch of the first Annual World Islamic Banking Conference: European Summit (Euro WIBC) will provide an important new forum for addressing the critical issues facing the European Islamic financial markets. These include regulatory environments, opportunities for major established international players and the outlook for the new institutions based in the UK and Europe.
Euro WIBC builds on the success of the flagship World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC) in Bahrain attended by 1,000 delegates each year. The conference has over the past 15 years become recognised worldwide as the leading international platform for market leaders to map the future direction of the Islamic banking and finance industry.
UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) will be joining this important gathering of international guests from executive level policymakers, industry leaders, academics and the global media. UKTI’s CEO Andrew Cahn will be participating in the summit as the keynote speaker for the inaugural session on the morning of 8 July 2008.
