UK Trade & Investment recognises the importance of the role professional business advisors (intermediaries) play in the inward investment process and wants to establish a more far-reaching relationship with them. With this in mind, a new initiative, the “UK Advisory Network”, will be launched in November this year by Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham, Minister for Trade and Investment.
While UK Trade & Investment have worked with professional business service firms for many years, we are conscious that for the UK to remain the Number 1 location for investment in Europe, we need to consistently raise our game and offer a more structured approach to dealing with intermediaries. The objective in establishing the new network is to further strengthen the partnership between Government and private sector for the support of new and existing investors and overall to promote the UK’s compelling marketing messages.
Members of the UK Advisory Network will have the opportunity to feedback to UK Trade & Investment on issues affecting inward investment, to have regular networking opportunities with senior industry professionals and Ministers and to provide non advertorial content for inclusion on the UK Trade & Investment website. UK Trade & Investment representatives will use the Network as a resource for suggesting organisations that can provide support to investors and where appropriate, operate a signposting process.
